The Transitional Pain Service aims to provide a state-of-the art pain management program for patients at risk of chronic post-surgical pain, related disability, and excessive opioid use. Using a multidisciplinary patient-centered approach to treatment we aim to improve patient functioning to maximize quality of life and reduce the health care burden of chronic pain. Through our research we aim to create a comprehensive evidence-based program that guides the development of future pain programs and pain care policy in Canada and throughout the world.
