The goal of the fellowship is to train and provide physicians with the necessary knowledge and skill to conduct independent simulation and medical education based research as part of an academic career and to assume a leadership role in simulation research and training.
Fellows completing the Simulation and Medical Education Fellowship will design, write and perform a simulation-based research project from research question to publication, including applying for research grants; present their research project at the Department`s annual research day; present their work to national and international audiences; participate in an intensive simulation instructor course and learn simulation based education design and debriefing.
